چکیده
1 CDMA The basic idea behind CDMA is to assign each user a signature (also called a code-word), s m (t). Users will use antipodal signaling (i.e., multiplying their signatures by ±1 to send data. Thus, what the receiver sees is (idealistically) r(t) = m b m s m (t) + w(t) where the b m are the users' bits (again, ±). We also generally assume that the system is interference limited so that the noise term is inconsequential. That is, we assume r(t) ≈ m b m s m (t) From the perspective of a receiver trying to decode, say, user 1 we have r(t) = b 1 s 1 (t) + m =1 b m s m (t) and we do the usual matched filtering (correlator receiver) where we multiply r(t) by s 1 (t) and integrate so that the decision paramater we use to guess what b 1 is looks like r 1 = b 1 E s 1 + m =1 b m T 0 s 1 (t)s m (t)dt where we've assmed the bit interval is (0, T). What's not necessarily obvious is that we've ALSO assumed that all the users signals arrive at the receiver in lock-step (their individual bit intervals start and stop at the same time). Nonlinear Multiuser Receiver for Optimized Chaos-Based DS-CDMA Systems
Chaos based communications have drawn increasing attention over the past years. Chaotic signals are derived from non-linear dynamic systems. They are aperiodic, broadband and deterministic signals that appear random in the time domain. Because of these properties, chaotic signals have been proposed to generate spreading sequences for wide-band secure communication recently. Like conventional DS...

In CDMA (Code - Division Multiple - Access) systems multi - user accessing of a channel is possible. Under the assumptions of Optimum multi - user and decorrelating detector in CDMA systems. By using signals with zero and / or identical cross correlations, a simple and expandable decorrelating detector with optimum efficiency which can be easily implemented are proposed. Constructing these sign...
متن کاملSimulation Based Analysis of Random Access CDMA Networks
As large mobile networks have become commonplace, the allocation of resources has become critical. The most important and restricted resource is the system bandwidth for this kind of networks. In order to use the system bandwidth efficiently, multiple access systems are used. For multiple access systems, MAC (medium access control) protocols have primary effect in the throughput and delay perfo...
متن کاملOptimizing the Performance of Uncoordinated Wireless Packet Transmission: RP-CDMA with Partitioned Spreading
A fully asynchronous random wireless channel access protocol and transmission system based on CDMA with random spreading, termed Random Packet CDMA [1, 2], is presented. We show that RP-CDMA has the potential to achieve the capacity of the wireless channel. Furthermore, a novel non-linear receiver termed Partitioned-Spreading (PS) is introduced, which allows for significantly higher system load...
متن کاملAn Analysis on the Effect of the Number of Phases in Multipath Fading DS-CDMA Signature Sequences
Direct sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) communication systems using random polyphase sequences with coherent reception in multipath fading channels are considered. By examining the asymptotic characteristics of the multiple access interference and multipath interference, we show that the DS-CDMA system performance with random mp-phase sequences of mp 3 is better than that with r...
